Ten lawyers, named
Four lead the firm; six associates carry the litigation load. The full roster is below — the four leads first.

Margaret Reid
Founding Partner · Litigation Lead
Twenty-eight years of commercial trial work, sixteen of them at Stoel Rives before opening Marston Reid with David in 2013. Lead counsel on more than seventy jury trials. The lawyer clients want when the case has to be tried, not just litigated.
Admitted: OR (1998), WA (2001), 9th Cir., D. Or., W.D. Wash.
Education: Northwestern Pritzker School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 1998); Stanford (B.A., 1994).

David Marston
Partner · Corporate Lead
Came to law from a five-year career in private-company M&A advisory. Built Marston Reid’s outside-general-counsel practice around the work that prevents the litigation Margaret’s team does. The lawyer clients want when they want a deal closed without theatre.
Admitted: OR (2001), WA (2007).
Education: Lewis & Clark Law School (J.D., 2001); Yale (B.A., Economics, 1996).

Priya Nair
Of Counsel · IP & Trade Secrets
Eight years at Latham & Watkins in the IP litigation group before relocating to Portland and joining as of counsel in 2023. Splits time between trade-secret cases for the firm and an independent appellate practice. The lawyer clients want for the TRO papers due in seventy-two hours.
Admitted: CA (2005), OR (2023), 9th Cir.
Education: Columbia Law School (J.D., 2005); Princeton (A.B., 2001).

Eleven years at the firm, the last seven leading the employment practice’s day-to-day work. First-chair on three jury trials and lead drafter on the firm’s Oregon non-compete brief that several of the regional firms now use as a template.
Admitted: OR (2014), WA (2017).
Education: Stanford Law School (J.D., 2014); Reed College (B.A., 2009).
